Your Tax Dollars at Work: NYPD Arrests Man for Telling Joke on Sidewalk

A bicyclist visiting friends, rode up on the sidewalk from the street to their front door, which is technically illegal in NYC. You are supposed to stop in the street, get off the bike and walk it on the sidewalk. NYPD rolls up and tickets him for this ($150 fine or appear in court!).
Meanwhile their neighbor walks by while this scene is unfolding. They exchange some funny banter. Everyone laughs. He keeps walking….that is, until the other NYPD officers get involved and eventually the guy who cracked the joke is arrested and charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Recently, Obama supporters were hit with the proverbial “straw that broke the camel’s back” when he decided to extend the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich, but this is far from the first time that he has thrown the American citizens under the bus.
I’ll admit, he’s definitely done some good (although most of it has been crippled because he refuses to grow a spine) but if you wanted to see what the man who campaigned on the promise of “change” has done to completely sell-out all of his supporters here is a comprehensive list compiled thanks to a reddit.com user.:
Obama has:
backed off on closing Guantanimo.
backed off of his promise to keep lobbyists out of his administration.
protected the Bush administration from prosecution for torture.
authorized the assassination of U.S. citizens abroad.
rescinded on his promise to not prosecute marijuana users in states where it is legal, and [5] pushed for a 5 year prison term for a California-legal medical marijuana dispensary operator.
prosecuted child-soldier Omar Khadr using evidence gained through torture.
granted 27 waivers to oil companies drilling in the weeks following the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
he fought for, and won, the right to deny habeas corpus to detainees.
blocked UN human rights investigations at Guantanamo.
dropped charges against the CIA for destroying videotapes documenting torture of detainees.
deported record number of undocumented immigrants.
continued rendition of alleged terrorists to countries where they could be tortured.
indefinitely detaining alleged terrorists, WITHOUT TRIAL.
extended the PATRIOT Act, with no reforms.
cut a secret deal to kill the public option, while still campaigning on its behalf.
defended Don’t Ask Don’t Tell from legal challenges.
reaffirmed his opposition to same-sex marriage.
granted waivers to 30 companies, including McDonalds, exempting them from health care reform.
gave permits to BP and other oil companies, exempting them from environmental protection laws.
appointed Monsanto executive Michael Taylor to the FDA.
appointed a former Monsanto lobbyist as Chief Agriculture Negotiator.
appointed Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury.
increased the use of combat drones in Pakistan.
passed a massive Wall Street bailout at the expense of the taxpayers.
played down the importance of the WikiLeaks documents.
Failed to address Climate Change Issues
promised $30bil in military aid to Israel over the next decade.
Kind of makes you wonder why Republicans hate him so much, technically…he’s the guy they voted for, they just didn’t realize it at the time cause he was too busy making people like me think things were going to be different.
