Police in Toledo, Ohio have just released surveillance video of an incident from New Year’s Day.
They say it shows 25-year-old Melodi Dushane driving up to a McDonald’s drive-through window with a neighbor at about 6:30 in the morning, and objecting strongly when told she couldn’t get Chicken McNuggets at that hour, because the eatery had started serving breakfast at 2:30.
She is seen getting out of the car and hitting the drive-through employee in the mouth.
At that point, the manager comes over, Dushane swings a few more times, and the
manager tries to pull her up through the window by her hair. Other employees prompt the manager to let her go. They close the window as Dushane tries to push it open – but she then breaks it with an object she takes out of her car.
The passenger’s mother says it was the employees who allowed it all to escalate. Police later charged Dushane with vandalism.

What should have been uneventful incident free coverage of a nonprofit group’s annual open meeting, which was held in a public facility. Turned violent when an individual described as a “soldier” for the organization attacked a Photojournalist from behind.
Unknown to those in the room, including the Photojournalist, another Journalist deployed his Kodak “Instamatic” pocket camera and proceeded to; in his own words “capture a crime in progress” on video. That video has been intercut with the video from the Photojournalist’s Betacam and is being made available on You Tube for the public to view.
After the attack members of the La Habra Heights Improvement Association claimed it was a “private meeting”. Even though two Journalists were asked to sign the guest sheet prior to the meeting and were never asked to leave. One Journalist was even offered cookies and lemonade. Responding law enforcement affirmed the public’s right to be there.
Charges are pending an investigation by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

The Age Old Question of Shark Vs Crocodile has Been Answered

The 5m saltwater crocodile made mince meat of a bull shark at Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory. A bunch of tourists looked on in shock when they saw the croc chomping on the shark at the upper flood plains of the south Alligator River on Saturday morning.
The shark had already been bitten in two by the hungry beast when this photograph was taken.
But tour guide Dean Cameron, 34, believed it would have been at least 3m long and weighed 60kg.
“It would have been amazing to see (the attack) – very wild footage,” he said.”The croc would’ve taken the shark at night and then it would’ve had to take it to the bank to eat it.”
Two separate tour boats with about 45 tourists on board each were shipping along the river as part of the Yellow Water Cruise about 8.15am when they saw the wild feast.
Mr Cameron, who was guiding one of the boats, said the visitors were over the moon to see the spectacle. “Nearly 100 people saw it all up and they were jumping for joy,” he said.
They said this had made their Kakadu trip.
Israel Attacks Aid Flotilla in International Waters – Up to 19 People Killed, Dozens Injured

Israeli commandos have attacked a flotilla of aid-carrying ships off the coast of the Gaza Strip, killing up to 19 people on board. Dozens of others were injured when troops raided the convoy of six ships, dubbed the Freedom Flotilla, early on Monday. Israel said activists on board attacked its commandos as they boarded the ships, while the flotilla’s organisers said the Israeli forces opened fire first, as soon as they stormed the convoy.
Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, gave his “full backing” to the military forces after the raid. “The prime minister… reiterated his full backing for the IDF [Israeli Defence Forces] and inquired about the well-being of the wounded,” his office told the AFP news agency. He also said Israel regretted the loss of life in the raid. Israeli media reported that many of the dead were Turkish nationals.
Organisers of the Freedom Flotilla say it was carrying 700 activists and 10,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid with the aim of breaking the Israeli siege of Gaza.
