Foxy Shazam Live at The Dirty Dog; Austin, TX SXSW

Everyone at SXSW has been talking about this band “Foxy Shazam” as if they are already the biggest band in the world, the hype on these guys is crazy. After lots of deliberation I decided to brave the lines at dirty dog and check them out, and fucking god damn, this band is insane.
These guys completely owned the stage, I haven’t seen showmanship this impressive in a long fucking time; this dude summons some mick jagger style demons when he’s on stage and even includes some sideshow style antics in the form of eating about a half a pack of lit cigarettes as the crowd cheers him on.
Their show was awesome and I was completely blown away, if you ever get a chance to see them live do it! Even if you don’t like their music, the banter and stage presence alone will keep you cheering along.
Patrick Stump Solo Show Live at The Dirty Dog; Austin, TX SXSW

Checked out the first ever solo performance by Patrick Stump last night at The Dirty Dog in Austin. When they were setting up it looked as though he would have a backing band, but that wasn’t the case. Patrick walked out on stage and set the beat on the drum set…a loop took over and he moved to the piano, then guitar, then bass; setting a loop for each instrument he played. It was truly a “Solo” performance.
Coming from a guy who only went because people were bugging me to get some pictures or footage of the show…I thought he did extremely well despite a few technical problems with the sound & monitor guys.

I have been wanting to see “Torche” live for a long time and it was definitely worth the wait. Torche played at the SXSW venue “Beerland” last night at 1am, the entire venue was packed full by the time they went on. They had a sick fucking show and people were going insane for them, it totally made up for them canceling their show the first night that i had to walk 2 miles through the ghetto to get to.

After a long morning filled with shuttle buses and shaky fucking flights i’ve finally arrived in Austin, TX. Picked up my credentials from the convention center and now i’m chillen in the hotel room waiting to build a set and then go out and do some partying.

A small plane crashed into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas. So far one person is unaccounted for following the explosion.
